New York Comic Con News: Marvel Animation has released the one-minute test reel for its new Guardians of the Galaxy animated series, which was shown at the New York Comic Con.  The footage introduces the gun-toting Rocket Raccoon and the glib Star-Lord, two of the stars of the new series that is slated to debut on the Disney XD network starting sometime next year (see "'Guardians of the Galaxy' Animated Series").
 
The animated GOTG series will feature the same characters as James Gunn’s live-action film, which is the most popular film of 2014 so far, but with different actors providing the voices.  The cartoon series will pick up where the live-action film left off as Disney animators attempt to capture the lighthearted swagger of the movie.
