Marvel has unveiled a high-resolution image of Alex Ross’ cover for Secret Wars #1, the May-shipping debut issue in the 8-issue crossover series by Jonathan Hickman and Esad Ribic that Marvel’s EIC Axel Alonso claims is "unprecedented in its scope." Certainly like Ross’s initial teaser for the new Secret Wars events with its plethora of characters (see "Marvel Launching New 'Secret Wars' Event in 2015"), Ross’s cover for Secret Wars #1 gives every indication that the new Secret Wars will be a wide-ranging event involving lots of key Marvel characters.
Ross’s cover for Secret Wars #1 was visible in Marvel’s Secret Wars Battleworld Revealed video (see "'Secret Wars' Battleworld Revealed"), but it is seen in much more detail in the newly released image.
