Robert Kirkman is the most powerful comics writer in Hollywood, according to a new ranking released by The Hollywood Reporter. The show based on Kirkman’s The Walking Dead is #1 in the key 18-49 demographic, and he currently has shows in development on four other series, the article explained.
Second was DC CCO Geoff Johns; the company has five shows in production this year. Brian Michael Bendis was #3, with two creator owned series, Powers and Alias, in the works. Mark Millar, creator of Kick-Ass and Wanted, plus upcoming movies based on Starlight and Chrononauts, was #4. Millar also wrote the story on which the third Captain America movie will be based. Chris Claremont, whose version of the X-Men forms the basis for that universe at Fox, recently did a treatment for Gambit and was listed as #5 on the list.
