Warner Bros. has announced the cast of Suicide Squad, according to Variety, with a big time movie star’s name (and others) added to an already strong group.
Will Smith, of Men in Black and numerous other geek films, will play Deadshot.
Tom Hardy (Dark Knight Rises, The Drop) will play Rick Flagg, and Jai Courtney (Spartacus) will play Boomerang. The pair had been rumored for unknown roles in the film over the past few days (see "Comics Movie Round-Up") .
Cara Delevingne (Anna Karenina) will play Enchantress.
The studio confirmed that Jared Leto will play the Joker, and that Margot Robbie is Harley Quinn (see "Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn").
The film is scheduled to shoot in Toronto next year, and open August 5, 2016.
