ComicsPRO has announced that Dark Horse Comics and DC Entertainment are the Platinum sponsors of the ComicsPRO Annual Membership Meeting, to be held in Portland on February 19-21 (see "2015 ComicsPRO Meeting Set").
Dark Horse is headquartered in the host city, and will be incorporating a heavy talent presence and a tour of its retail store. It will host an opening reception on Wednesday evening, February 18th. Dark Horse’s 2015 presentation on the morning of February 2015 will bring Mike Mignola, Brian Wood, Geof Darrow, Chuck Palahniuk, Eric Powell, and Matt Kindt to the event. And on Saturday, Dark Horse will invite retailers to its Things From Another World store and host a lunch.
DC will bring Sales and Marketing, DC Collectibles, DC Digital presentations in the afternoon and evening of February 19th.
Oni Press will sponsor a tour of the local shops on Saturday, February 21st, and co-host the closing reception on Saturday evening, February 21st.
Comic Book Legal Defense Fund will host a reception and benefit auction on Friday, February 20th, and co-host the closing reception with Oni Press.
Other programming highlights include sessions with additional sponsors, workshops, and discussion of the organization’s current projects and plans.
As usual, each attending retailer will receive a gift bag with graphic novels, toys, promo items, and comics, including exclusive low-print-run ComicsPRO variants.
