CrossGen has sold MegaCon, the annual Orlando convention devoted to comics, anime, gaming, science fiction, and media, to Beth Widera, who has been running the show for the last four years.   CrossGen has been exiting non-core businesses, including most publishing of comic titles featuring non-CrossGen intellectual property (e.g., see 'Snake Plissken Breaks Free'), as part of its restructuring (see 'CrossGen Restructures').

 

Under Widera's management, the show has shown steady growth, attracting a solid core of exhibitors and dealers, as well as celebrity guests.  The March 2004 show will feature Kevin Smith and Jason Mewes; Allison Mack; and Brian Michael Bendis.
