Looney Labs has released Back to the Future: The Card Game (MSRP $20.00), a licensed game based on the time-traveling trilogy of films directed by Robert Zemeckis for Universal that are being released in a special 25th anniversary edition on Blu-ray in October in a deluxe package with hours of extras. But fans of the series don’t have to wait until October 26th to jump in the Delorean and travel back in times to the events in the Back to the Future movies.
Back to the Future: The Card Game is a fast exciting time travel card game for 2-6 players, ages 11 and up that takes between 20 minutes and an hour to play. Cards are laid out to form a timeline of events and players use various items and time machines to change the circumstances to achieve their personal realities.
As a descendant of Marty, Biff, Doc, or others, players have to alter history in order to insure their own existence, and then win the game by un-inventing time travel itself, thus insuring that their particular version of reality will remain unaltered.
