Ultra PRO announced it will release a line of Grumpy Cat accessories, beginning this fall with deck protectors and deck boxes.
Grumpy Cat, aka "Tard" (short for Tardar Sauce) started out her meme life on Reddit, and quickly spread to Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and worldwide Internet stardom. Tartar Sauce’s perma-scowl (which her owner says is the result of feline dwarfism) has been featured on Today, Good Morning America, CBS Evening News, and The Soup among other mainstream media outlets.
Like many other celebri-cats (including Keyboard Cat, Nyan Cat, Lil Bub, Colonel Meow, and Maru) Grumpy Cat’s owner Tabatha Bundesen has capitalized on the Internet success with t-shirts, a calendar, a book that made the New York Times Best Sellers list, and an iced coffee cappuccino drink. Now Grumpy Cat will grace a line of gaming accessories starting with the standard sized card Deck Protectors and Deck Boxes. No MSRP was announced.
Grumpy Cat, who is currently a guest of honor at the 2nd Internet Cat Video Festival at the Minnesota State Fair this week, could not be reached for comment.
