Green Ronin Publishing has announced the next title for its A Song of Ice and Fire Roleplaying game. Dragon’s Hoard is expected to release early in 2015. Green Ronin has also announced an extension of its license with George R. R. Martin and a reprint of the game’s core rulebook.
Dragon’s Hoard will be a 160-page adventure book, and includes input by six writers: Joseph Carriker, Lee Hammock, Brett Rebishke-Smith, Ian Ireland, Michelle Lyons, and John Hay. It will feature a cover by artist Slawomir Maniak. Details of the book are pending approval, but it has been in development since 2013.
In a press release, Green Ronin announced that the release of the new adventure book was possible because the company has successfully negotiated with Game of Thrones author George R. R. Martin for an extension to its license. The extension allows Green Ronin to continue to support A Song of Ice and Fire Roleplaying.
In addition to the new adventure planned for 2015, Green Ronin will reprint the core rulebook, A Song of Ice and Fire Roleplaying: A Game of Thrones Edition, which has been unavailable for some time. The reprint is expected to release on August 4th. The reprinted version will include corrections and errata from the earlier version.
An earlier sourcebook for the game, Night’s Watch, was awarded the 2014 Origins Award for "Best Roleplaying Supplement" (see "2014 Origins Winners Announced").
