Konami Digital Entertainment has announced The Secret Forces, a new special booster set for the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG, releasing February 13. The special booster launches three tactical squads of all new monsters, including the Nekroz, the Yosenju, and the Ritual Beast Tamers.
The 60-card, all-foil booster set includes 32 new cards from the three monster groups, plus 28 reprint cards including Preparation of Rites. The set contains 40 Super Rare and 20 Secret Rare cards. MSRP is $3.99 a pack.
The Nekroz necromancers resurrect the dead husks of Synchro Monsters to use as sets of armor, and send them to the battlefield as powerful Ritual Monsters with multiple abilities. This ability can even be used on the Forbidden Synchro Monsters like Brionac and Trishula. The Yosenju is a monastic order of Beast-Warriors with some of the fastest Summoning strategies in the game. They can boost their Pendulum Scale up to 11, allowing them to Summon and re-Summon Mayosenju Daibak, their Level 10 boss monster that bounces cards back to the hand. The psychic Ritual Beast Tamers use their powers to team up with animals of land, sea, and air to form Fusion Monsters that can move back and forth from the Extra Deck as needed.
The Secret Forces booster will follow the January release of the Secrets of Eternity booster (see "'Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG: Secrets of Eternity'").
