Fantasy Flight Games will release Star Wars X-Wing: Imperial Raider Expansion, featuring a huge Raider-class corvette, in Q1 2015. The new Raider-class corvette was designed by the game designers in conjunction with Lucasfilm to be comparable to the large-scale ship designed for the Rebel side (see "FFG Reveals 2014 'Star Wars X-Wing' Minis"). The new ship, designed especially for the game, will be a fast, aggressive ship combining qualities of a Star Destroyer and a single-pilot fighter. It can be used in Cinematic Play and Epic Play formats.
Like the Rebellion GR-75 transport and CR90 Corellian corvette, the Raider-class corvette will be presented at a relative scale that makes it playable even though it dwarfs the game’s small- and large-base ships.
The expansion pack will also include one TIE Advanced with an alternate paint scheme. It’s more powerful and durable than the TIE fighter, but comes with a higher squad point cost.
In addition to the two ships, the Imperial Raider Expansion will also include 8 ship cards, 34 upgrade cards, and the maneuver dials, damage decks, tokens, game pieces needed to fly the two ships, and a new campaign, The Will of the Empire, in which the player commands the corvette and runs the TIE Advanced through its test flights.
