Score Entertainment has unveiled starter and booster configurations as well as organized play programs for Afterworld: Genesis, the company's first trading card game based on an in-house property.  Afterworld: Genesis is a TCG with a 'boardgame' feel, with players taking on the roles of military heroes from history and mythology with first edition starter decks based on four civilizations--Norse, Egyptian, Japanese, and Atlantean -- three historical and one 'fantasy' (see 'Score's Afterworld: Genesis TCG').

Each Afterworld: Genesis Starter includes one 15-card pre-constructed deck built around a single civilization, one 50-card randomized pack, a 48-page full color rulebook and a playmat with checklist.  Booster packs, which come 12 per display, contain 10 cards including 6 common, 3 uncommon and 1 rare.  Overall the 268-card expanded set includes 108 commons, 80 uncommons, 72 rares, 3 promo cards and 5 tournament promos.

Retailers who hold events at their store with an approved judge will receive prize support from Score.  Retailers who wish to hold events can go to the Score Website and register to become part of Score's SEVEN community.  Within two weeks of registering retailers will receive their welcome letter, login ID and password and can then hold official events.  Retailers who sign up can also get their stores listed on Score's Web-Based Store Locator service. Stores in the SEVEN program qualify for free tournament kits, which include 1 Afterworld Premium Item, 1 Expansion Poster, 1 Retail Letter, 1 Scorecard Sheet and 20 Participation Promos.  Score is releasing new tournament promo cards in November, December, January and February.  To obtain the free tournament kits retailers need to place orders for the kits by the 15th day of the month prior to the month of the scheduled event.
