Chris Bleistein, Executive Director of The Comic Book Legal Defense Fund, has resigned after serving in that position for the past 13 months. Bleistein was promoted from within after the departure of Chris Oarr from the top spot about a year ago. Bleistein was credited by board members with improving the organization's bottom line and making its future more financially secure. The CBLDF is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting the First Amendment rights of comics and those creating and selling them. According to organization President Denis Kitchen, the board will make an announcement at a later date ragarding Bleistein's replacement.
