Francoise Mouly and Art Spiegelman's Toon Books (see "Mouly and Spiegelman Launch Kids Graphic Novel Line") has released additional information, including format and plot summaries, for its fall releases, all of which will be released in October.  The fall releases follow up Toon's sold out and back-to-press spring three-some, which totally kicked Dick and Jane back to the 19th century.

Spiegelman's first Toon Books' offering, Jack and the Box ($12.95), is a full color, 32-page hardcover that features a limited vocabulary and unlimited imagination as Spiegelman examines the silly (and scary) potential of childhood's most surprising toy -- the Jack-in the-Box.

Eleanor Davis' Stinky ($12.95), a 40-page full color hardcover, follows the adventures of a swamp monster named Stinky, who loves bats, rats and toads, but is terrified of people.  An object lesson about the need to conquer your fears and face the unknown, Stinky is a story that shy kids can readily understand.

Sibling rivalry is the theme of Jay Lynch and Dean Haspiel's Mo and Jo: Fighting Together Forever ($12.95), a 40-page, full color hardcover about a pair of twins Mona and Joseph, who fight over anything including a powerful costume given to them by the Mighty Mojo, which they promptly rip in half.  When confronted by the evil Saw-Jaw, the twins have to figure out how to combine their powers and talents in this charming superhero saga for the younger set.
