Chapters 11-20 of the Star Wars: Clone Wars animated micro-series are set for broadcast on the Cartoon Network starting with Chapter 11 on March 26 at 9:30pm (ET, PT). The final nine chapters of the animated micro-series will appear at 8:00pm (ET, PT) starting on March 29 and continuing through April 8. The Cartoon Network will also feature a Clone Wars 'marathon' on April 9 and 10. The first ten episodes of the Clone Wars animated series appeared last November. Chapter 20 of the Clone War series will introduce General Grievous, part alien, part robot, who has been described as the most fearsome Jedi killer in the galaxy, and who will play a major role in Star Wars: Episode III, which is set for release in the spring of 2005.
Topps is producing a series of Clone Wars trading cards, which feature art from the distinctive-looking animated series produced and directed by Genndy Tartakovsky (Samurai Jack). The Topps Clone Wars cards, which are due out in April, include an Episode III Clone Trooper Preview Card, which allows fans to get a glimpse of what the Clone Troopers from Episode III will look like. The Topps series also includes a subset of 16 cards featuring art from Dark Horse's various Clone War comics. The unveiling of General Grievous is certain to stir interest in the Clone War saga in April and retailers will have both the Dark Horse Clone Wars comics and the Topps Clone Wars trading cards to meet fan demand as the enthusiasm starts to build for next year's release of Episode III.
