The New York Anime Festival has announced that it will host the North American premiere of Romanov Higa's (Urda, Tank Swat 01) CATBLUE Dynamite.  The showings of CATBLUE Dynamite, which will take place at the inaugural New York Anime Festival being held at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in New York City from December 7th-9th, will mark the North American 'live' premiere of a 42-minute cell-shaded CG feature. 

CATBLUE Dynamite is based on the exploitation films of the 1970s like Coffy and Foxy Brown.  The cat-eared heroine is a mercenary fully trained in the martial arts and plenty good with firearms too.  Just in case anyone might miss the 1970s theme there are muscle cars galore, and plenty of disco music.
