Marvel Comics is partnering with baseball's top minor league and sponsoring free comic giveaway nights at all 30 Triple-A League ballparks during August. The baseball-themed comic, which is titled Triple-A Baseball Heroes, features Spider-Man, Iron-Man, the Fantastic Four, and the Incredible Hulk. The alliance with Marvel appears to be a natural for baseball's top minor league, which stresses the family-friendly nature of a trip to the ballpark for a game featuring players, many of whom will be the stars of tomorrow.
The Triple-A Baseball Heroes comics will only be available at the ballpark. Each minor league team will add its own logo to the cover. British artist John Watson is providing painted covers for events in Buffalo, Durham and Memphis -- covers that will be exclusive to those cities.
