Tokyopop has announced an expansion of its relationship with GoComics, the consumer brand of the uclick mobile comics delivery service. The expanded relationship provides for a larger roster of Tokyopop titles to be available on the service. Tokyopop will also get its own standalone mobile Internet deck.
GoComics now makes it possible for any comic fan with a mobile phone, including iPhones and smart phones, to access comic content in one of two ways: free with ads, or purchased individually using points-based subscriptions.
The amount of material available via GoComics has been growing,, with Papercutz titles recently added to its roster (see “Hardy Boys and Nancy Drew Go Mobile”).
