Radical Publishing has signed an agreement giving Diamond Comic Distributors worldwide exclusive rights to distribute Radical Comics in English to comic, game and specialty markets, while assigning exclusive book store distribution rights to Diamond Book Distributors.

Radical Comics is launching its line of 32-page periodical comics in May with the release of the first issues of Hercules: The Thracian Wars and Caliber: First Canon of Justice, both of which will carry a cover price of just $1 (subsequent issues will be $2.99).  Radical Books will collect the Radical Comics mini-series and publish them in deluxe hardcover volumes, with the Hercules and Caliber collections due out this fall.

Radical Publishing has assembled an impressive list of creators including Yoshitaka Amano, John Bolton, Luis Royo, Jim Steranko, Steve Moore, Sam Sarkar, Stjepan Sejic, and Bill Sienkiewicz to name just a few.  In August Radical Comics will debut Freedom Formula from Imaginary Friends Studio, followed by Steve Niles’ City of Dust in September, and Ian Edginton’s Aladdin in October.  Niles’ City of Dust was originally entitled Khrome (after the name of the protagonist), but after being informed that Marc Patten had already been publishing a comic with that name, Niles and Radical quickly moved to change the title of Niles’ new science fiction series that is set in a dark future where government attempts to control the imaginations as well as the actions of ordinary citizens.
