For the 2008 holiday season Viz Media has created box set editions of three of its most popular manga properties, Naruto, Death Note, and Bleach. Naruto has been the dominant #1 title in the American market since the Naruto anime series first aired on the Cartoon Network, while Death Note and Bleach, which also have anime adaptations running on the Cartoon Network, are fixtures in the top ten on ICv2’s list of “The Top 25 Manga Properties.” The manga box sets include complete story arcs or series along with bonus collectible items that should appeal to hardcore fans.

The Naruto Box Set ($174.99), which comes is colorful box featuring the image of the pint-size ninja, contains the first 27 volumes of Masashi Kishimoto’s enormously popular Naruto manga. The Bleach Box Set ($149.99) contains the first 21 volumes of Tite Kubo’s supernatural fighting manga as well as a double-sided poster, a special Bleach booklet, and the colorful box itself, which comes with a convenient handle.
