San Diego Comic-Con is selling out faster than ever this year, with four day passes long gone, and only Thursday and Sunday individual day tickets remaining.  Four day passes sold out roughly four months in advance of the show this year, compared to only a few weeks in advance last year, according to Comic-Con Director of Marketing and Public Relations David Glanzer.  Single day passes for Friday and Saturday also sold out earlier than ever this year.

With only around 50% of the Thursday and Sunday single day passes remaining, it’s likely that the show will be entirely sold out months in advance, a sign that the “fantasy economy” at the major pop culture conventions remains strong.
