Comixology is offering comic retailers two Web-based tools to increase sales:  online pull lists and a free cover gallery.  The cover gallery, which is free, allows retailers to access Comixology’s gallery of comic cover images for each week’s releases and to present them from the retailer’s Website in multiple ways, for example split by category, or to highlight picks for the week, bestsellers, or other groupings. 

 

Comixology’s online pull list, free to consumers, is also available as a free two-month trial to retailers with a monthly subscription fee for ongoing retailer users.  The online pull list, available on the Web and as an iPhone app, allow fans to browse the comics they want from each week’s releases, and request that their retailer pull them.  Comixology CEO David Steinberger says that retailers using the online pull list service tell him of sales of books they never thought they’d sell in their store, a definite plus in a time of generally weak sales.
