It appears that director Christopher Nolan’s current plan is to begin shooting his third Batman movie in March of 2011. That sort of a starting date would mean that the effects-laden film should be able to make the opening day of July 20th, 2012 that Warner Bros. announced in April (see “Date Set for Dark Knight Sequel”).
The news concerning the plan to begin production of Nolan’s third Batman film in March comes from Geoff Boucher’s Hero Complex blog. Boucher is hosting an appearance by Nolan at a screening of two of the director’s films this weekend, which could yield additional information concerning the Dark Knight sequel and Nolan’s plans to produce (but not necessarily direct) a new Superman film.
