At the Diamond Retailer Breakfast at the New York Comic Con it was announced that Bob Wayne had been promoted to Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing as part of DC Comics' restructuring. In addition DC’s sales department will remain in New York City, although most of the publisher’s other administrative functions will be shifted to Burbank, California (see “DC’s Move West To Affect 80”). Wayne is replacing Steve Rotterdam, who is leaving the company (see “DC Executive Shakeup Continues”).
Wayne, who has been at DC since 1987, is a former retailer who owned the Fantastic Worlds chain of comic book stores in Texas before joining DC
