A fund has been set up to support medical care for longtime game designer Jim Ward, who’s suffering from a serious neurological disorder.  Although the condition is treatable and manageable, it will remain serious and has required extensive medical care, for which the co-pays moved into five figures some time ago.  

We first met Ward when he headed up product development at TSR, where he was author or co-author of Gods, Demi-Gods & Heroes (the 4th supplement to D&D), Metamorphosis Alpha (the first SF RPG) and Gamma World.  Since then he designed the Dragon Ball Z, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and Spellfire CCGs and many other games.
