NG International is working on a new revised edition of the War of the Rings board game. The classic game based on J.R.R. Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings was first issued in 2004 and has completely sold out with copies going for big bucks on eBay. The revised edition will include some of the features from the special limited Collector’s Edition that was released in 2009 (see “FFG Has 800 Copies”).  

 

The new edition of War of the Ring will have a revised and improved, perfect-bound 48–page rulebook and a new larger (70cm by 100cm or 27.5” x 39.4”) game board with new graphics. The revised edition will be available worldwide in September of 2011. No announcement of the company that will be distributing the revised War of the Ring board game in the United States has been made yet.
