Konami Digital Entertainment, producer and distributor of the popular Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game, has signed a multi-year distribution agreement with Super Heat Games, the developers of action sports trading card games that feature the top athletes in exciting card games based on Skateboarding, Snowboarding, Surfing, Motocross, and BMX.

 

The first release that Konami will be distributing is the Super Heat Skateboard Trading Card Game, which features 30 top professional skaters in the street and vert as well as legends who helped bring the sport to worldwide prominence. In a game that is designed to provide the feel of a real experience, players are pitted against each other and use their favorite professional skaters to pull off a series of insane tricks and outplay their opponents.

 

Konami will be featuring the Super Heat TCG along with its other offerings at the 2011 Toy Fair in New York. While the action sports subject matter of the Super Heat games differs from that of Konami’s TCGs, there is a considerable demographic overlap in the appeal of both the YGO TCG and the Super Heat Skateboard TCG to tween and adolescent boys.
