In preparation for Toy Fair Mayfair Games has outlined many of its 2011 releases. The three second quarter games, the classic railroad board game 1830 (March, see “Mayfair Announces 1830”), the highly-anticipated Catan Dice Game (April, see “Catan Dice Game Standard Edition) and The Stuggle For Catan Multi-Player Card Game (May, see “The Struggle for Catan”) have all been previously announced.

Mayfair releases for the second half of 2011 include the Civil War-themed First Bull Run: A Test of Fire, a playful exercise in the intricacies and corruption of big city politics known as Five Points: The Politics of New York, the Egyptian-themed Giza: The Great Pyramids, a new version of the 1992 railroading board game Nippon Rails, and a new game tentatively titled Urbania Redux.

In addition Mayfair plans to continue the expansion of its line of Klaus Teuber’s Catan games with a Rivals of Catan Expansion Deck based on the 2-player card game introduced late last year (see “Rivals of Catan).  Also on tap for 2011 is the Steam Map Expansion #1, a useful extension for Martin Wallace’s Steam (see “Mayfair to Release New ‘Steam’”). Look for details about Mayfair’s second half of 2011 releases over the next few months.
