HBO has released a new extended trailer for its medieval drama Game of Thrones, which debuts on the powerhouse cable network on April 17th, 2011. The show is based on George R.R. Martin’s A Song of Fire and Ice series of fantasy novels. The new trailer includes more action including sword fights and jousts, as well as highlighting the epic battle for succession that is at the core of this epic saga.
Dynamite Entertainment and Bantam books recently unveiled a new comic book adaptation of Martin’s novels (see “Dynamite & Bantam to Adapt A Song of Fire and Ice”), and Fantasy Flight Games has published a popular A Game of Thrones board game.
