Fox is moving ahead with X-Men Origins: Deadpool, which the studio plans to release in 2014. Fox has chosen special effects expert Tim Miller to make his directorial debut with the Deadpool film. Miller created special effects for Bryan Singer’s two X-Men movies, Fox’s Daredevil, and Scott Pilgrim vs. the World.
Variety is reporting that Ryan Reynolds, who played the “merc with a mouth” in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, is attached to reprise his role as Wade Wilson a.k.a. Deadpool in the new movie.
Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick are writing the script for the new Deadpool film, which will be produced by Lauren Shuler Donner.
