WizKids is preparing the Star Trek Expeditions Expansion Set (MSRP $14.99) for an October release.  The expansion adds three new crew members, Scotty, Sulu, and Chekov to Reiner Knizia’s Star Trek Expeditions HeroClix board game (see “WizKids Star Trek Expeditions”).  This is the first expansion for Star Trek Expeditions and the three new characters add even more playing options.

 

Like the original game, the Star Trek Expeditions Expansion is based on the characters from J.J. Abrams’ 2009 Star Trek movie and includes three new crew members (Chief Engineer Montgomery Scott, Lieutenant Hikaru Sulu, and Ensign Pavel Chekov) along with their corresponding character cards.

 

The Planet Nibia is in peril and it is up to the crew of the Enterprise to prevent a Klingon invasion in Reiner Knizia’s acclaimed cooperative board game.  Each of the new crew members brings their unique talents and abilities to the game and opens up new avenues of gameplay.  With the Expansion Set players can add a fifth member to their team, which increases the size of the away team by one.
