This fall Mayfair Games is releasing a new edition of the classic 1992 board game Nippon Rails (MSRP $42.00), one of a number of challenging and highly entertaining award-winning Empire Builder games set in different parts of the globe.  Designed by Joe and Larry Roznai, Nippon Rails is a challenging strategy board game in which players endeavor to build a railroad empire in the Land of the Rising Sun.  The geographically accurate map creates a very challenging game since there are many narrow portions of terrain where a player’s plans can be blocked by opponents.  The game also includes a unique tunnel feature to link the islands.

 

Nippon Rails depicts Japan’s rivers, mountains, plains, and natural resources.  It is a great way to become familiar with the country’s geographic features and resources.
