A Second Free Comic Book Day in 2012
Halloween Chosen for 2nd FCBD

At the Diamond Comic Distributors Retailer Breakfast event at the New York Comic Con, Diamond discussed the possibility of coordinating a second Free Comic Book Day event centered around Halloween 2012. The traditional FCBD on the first Saturday in May will still happen in 2012, but Diamond indicated that there was interest from both large and small publishers in supporting a similar event tied-in to Halloween, which has become, next to Christmas, the holiday with the most retail impact.
There have been previous attempts (including one this year) to encourage people to give away mini-comic books as treats at Halloween, but what Diamond was proposing for 2012 was a second full-blown Free Comic Book Day.
