Director J.J. Abrams is attempting to line up Benicio Del Toro as the villain in his Star Trek sequel, according to Variety. The exact role is being kept a secret, according to the report.
The film will begin shooting this winter; no release date has been set (see “’Star Trek 2’ to Shoot this Winter”).
