Ayelet Zurer has replaced Julia Ormond in Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel, according to Deadline. Ormond had been set to play the role of Superman’s Kryptonian mother Lara (see "Julia Ormond to Play Supes' Mom").
Zurer will play opposite Russell Crowe, who will play Superman’s father Jor-El, the role played by Marlon Brando in the 1978 Richard Donner Superman film. The new Zack Snyder film will premiere on June 14th, 2013.
