Marvel Comics has released two teaser images for a very bellicose comic book event that is slated for October.  The exact nature of the conflict that is being teased has not yet been released, though a Marvel email indicates that the House of Ideas will be presenting additional information about the Avengers-centered event (the teaser shows Thor’s hammer Mjolnir lying cracked and broken on the ground in the rain) at the Amazing Spider-Man panel at Comic-Con on July 15th at 12:30 pm (PT).

Another teaser image on Marvel.com appears to show another "casualty" image—this one looks like Wolverine’s hand with his claws extended engulfed in some sort of conflagration.  Will the October conflict be a continuation of the current Avengers vs. X-Men donnybrook, or do these images portend some other conflict within the confines of the Marvel Universe?
