In a press release describing the rolling reboot of the Marvel Universe that is Marvel NOW! (see "Marvel NOW! the Answer to DC's "New 52""), Marvel revealed a fourth title that will join the three previously announced titles set for re-launching and renumbering that include Uncanny Avengers (October), All-New X-Men (November), and Avengers (December).  It appears that Jonathan Hickman, who is writing the twice-a-month Avengers that debuts in December, will also pen a New Avengers series that will kick off with New Avengers #1 in January of 2013.

While Jerome Opena is slated to provide the art for Hickman’s Avengers series, Steve Epting (Fantastic Four, Captain America) will be the penciller on the New Avengers series that debuts in January.

Marvel’s goal is to provide a new Marvel NOW! series "nearly every week through February," which means that as many as 16 other titles could be involved in the Marvel NOW! initiative.
