One of the most long-awaited cards from the classic Yu-Gi-Oh! animated series will finally appear in the collectible card game as the feature item in the up-coming Legendary Collection 3: Yugi’s World collector set.  This set will be launched on October 2, 2012 with a suggested retail price of $29.99.

ICv2 had a chance to discuss the up-coming release with Konami’s Vice President of Card Business Yumi Hoashi at the recent Comic-Con:

"We decided to change things up a bit this year," she said.  "So instead of a binder, we’re putting [Legendary Collection 3] in a set-up box, and it comes with a durable double-sided game board."

The board will be the first of its kind for the Yu-Gi-Oh! game.  The folding, double-sided game board is durable and fully-mounted. One side of the board features the Yugi character, with the image of the Orichalcos on the other.

Fans of the game are likely to be excited about the feature card, the "Seal of Orichalcos," according to Hoashi.  "This is one of the cards that was never created into the trading card game," she said.  "It’s from the classic Yu-Gi-Oh! series, and it’s one of the most sought after cards.  It’s one of the cards that we get the most requests to be made into a real card, so there should be a great response to this one."

The Legendary Collection 3: Yugi’s World will include five 9-card Mega-packs, each with 1 Secret Rare, 1 Ultra Rare, 1 Super Rare, 1 Rare, and 5 Common cards each.  The cards come from a 306 card set that features over 100 of Yugi’s most famous monsters, spells, and traps.  The "Seal of Orichalcos" and six additional Ultra Rare cards will round out the cards included in the set.
