Fantasy Flight's Death Star tabletop for X-Wing.
FFG's Steve Horvath explained how it came about. "Our in-house model maker took the schematics from the original Death Star and made molds of the individual tiles. Lucasfilm was fantastic to work with on this and we went back and forth with them and got it as exact as possible. Once we got that down we assembled the entire table including molds for the towers and everything; it was hand painted and washed and gone through and this is the result." And he answered our obvious question--no plans to sell it, just for demos.
Upper Deck was giving away capes to people that got demos!
We asked. He designed it himself--chain mail with wild designs.
