Bluewater Productions, best known for its unauthorized celebrity biographies, has "“severed ties with distribution giant Diamond Comic Distributors," the company said Wednesday.  The move was made after Diamond canceled orders on several recent Bluewater solicitations that did not meet Diamond’s minimum sales threshold.

Future distribution to both consumers and comic retailers will be handled by Comic Flea Market, which will print the books on a print-on-demand basis.  Comic Flea Market will sell to comic retailers at discounts similar to those used by Diamond, the announcement said.  Distribution will begin with issues in the pipe, including those on which orders were canceled by Diamond.  Bluewater will continue to release monthly lists of upcoming titles available.

Bluewater Productions will also make its books available in multiple digital formats.
