Marvel Comics has revealed Frank Cho’s cover for Savage Wolverine #1, a Marvel NOW! title shipping in January.  Cho is both writing and drawing the new series, which is really a sort of team-up book with Wolvie and Shanna the She Devil embroiled in an appropriately bloody struggle set in the Savage Lands.

In an interview on Marvel.com, Cho described the basic plot of Savage Wolverine as "a cool Indiana Jones/Cthulhu-type story" that he "modified and turned into a Wolverine story."  Cho is promising plenty of action and humor in this saga, which will be enlivened by the assertive, often abrasive, personalities of the two leads as Shanna plays Marion Ravenwood to Logan’s Indiana Jones.

Cho also promises that even though there will be no Ka-Zar in this version of the Savage Lands, there will be dinosaurs and giant apes, but all that’s just frosting on the cake that is having Cho drawing Shanna again.
