Ming-Na has been cast in the role of Agent Melinda May in Marvel’s upcoming S.H.I.E.L.D. pilot, according to Hollywood Reporter.  She’s the second character cast; Clark Gregg will reprise his movie role as Agent Phil Coulson (see "Whedon, Marvel Prep 'S.H.I.E.L.D.' TV Series").  Joss Whedon will be showrunner (see "ABC Orders Whedon’s 'S.H.I.E.L.D.' Pilot"). 

Ming-Na is best known for her longrunning role on ER, but has a number of geek culture credits: recurring roles on Eureka and Stargate Universe and voice roles in Spawn, Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within, and Mulan.
