Although the TV series based on Locke & Key wasn’t picked up based on the pilot (see "'Locke & Key' Trailer"), it now appears that a trilogy of feature films is in the works. Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci, the superstar team that has written and/or produced a whole raft of geek culture films and TV shows, will produce and write, according to Latino Review.
This doesn’t come as a total surprise, since CEO Ted Adams of Locke & Key publisher IDW Publishing told us a few months back that "there’s no question that there will eventually be something from an entertainment standpoint based on Locke and Key" (see "Interview with Ted Adams--Part 3").
Orci apparently confirmed the Latino Review story via his Twitter account, adding "true" to a retweet of "Oh PLEASE say that the rumor about you and Kurtzman making #LockeAndKey a film trilogy is true. PLEASE PLEASE" from a fan.
