Diamond Comic Distributors has announced that the second annual Halloween ComicFest will be held at comic stores on October 26-27, the weekend before Halloween. The promotion will include free comics and mini-comics; retailers may also develop special displays, activities, and costume contests. Consumer messaging, according to Diamond Director of Marketing Dan Manser, will focus on the free comics and Halloween-themed activities.
As was the case last year (see “Halloween ComicFest Promotion Launched”), a national costume contest will once again be run through the Halloween ComicFest Website.
