Comic-Con News: IDW Publishing announced today that veteran comics creator Walter Simonson, who is perhaps best known for his work on Marvel’s Thor, will return to the world of Norse Gods with a new creator-owned series Ragnarok, which IDW will publish in 2014.
IDW published an Artist Edition of Walt Simonson’s The MightyThor in 2011, and the company has already announced here at Comi-Con that it will release an Artist Edition of Simonson’s 1983 Star Slammers, which was first published as a graphic novel before being released by Malibu Comics under its Bravura imprint in 1995 as a five-issue miniseries (the opposite of the norms of comic book publishing in which pamphlet comics are published first and then collected into graphic novels (see "IDW Plans 'Artist Editions' for Mignola, Kieth, and Simonson").
