Fantasy Flight Games has announced plans for its Season Three Game Night Kits for organized play, which will ship in November. There are kits for seven games, which cost $20.00 - $25.00 each. There is no trade discount, as these are intended for use by brick-and-mortar retail stores to host organized play events or demo days.
The Star Wars X-Wing Game Night kit includes two sets of ten acrylic stress tokens, and a medal for the coverall competition winner. There is also two movie still Mauler Mithel cards, and 17 movie still cards for a Gold Squadron Pilot, as well as the promotional poster and instructional Game Night guide pamphlet. The kit costs $20.00.
The Game Night Kit for A Game of Thrones: The Card Game will include exclusive alternative art editions of two of the game’s most popular cards: two of "The Power of Blood" and 17 copies of "Ser Davos Seaworth." It will have a commemorative playmat for the top winner, promotional poster, and an instruction sheet on how to run leagues. The kit costs $20.00.
The Game Night Kit for The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game contains three 22-card "Nightmare Decks," for the final three quests from the "Shadows of Mirkwood" cycle. The kit will also include a custom playmat, a rules sheet for an optional tournament format, and the promotional poster. The cost of the kit is $25.00.
The Kit for Call of Cthulhu: The Card Game features alternative art editions of two of the game’s popular cards: two copies of "Y’Golonac" and 17 copies of "Clover Club Torch Singer." The kit also contains a custom playmat, an instructional pamphlet, and a promotional poster. The kit costs $20.00.
The Season Three Star Wars: The Card Game kit comes with alternative versions of two cards--both of which feature titles and flavor text in Aurebesh. Two copies of "Boba Fett" and seventeen copies of ‘Jedi Lightsaber’ will be included in each kit. It will also include a custom playmat for the top winner, the Game Night informational pamphlet, and a promotional poster. Each kit costs $20.00.
The Warhammer Invasion: The Card Game kit features the alternate art versions of two popular cards: two copies of "Dark Visions" and 17 copies of "Spawn of Itzl." It also includes a Warhammer: Invasion playmat, an instructional pamphlet and a promotional poster. The kit costs $20.00.
FFG added that the alternative art cards contained in these kits are produced through FFG's Print on Demand process, and as such, they may appear slightly different in color and texture from the game's other cards. Though they are tournament legal, the cards must be sleeved with opaque or art sleeves for play.
FFG also said in the solicitation that it plans to release the first kits for Season One 2014 in February or March of next year.
