Two geek TV announcements came out on Tuesday, from Doctor Who and Outlander. The Doctor Who reveal was of a poster for the 50th Anniversary Special (see "'Doctor Who' 50th Anniversary"), depicting departing Doctor Matt Smith and previous Doctor David Tennant over guest John Hurt, from Hollywood Reporter. The special will air on November 23 in the U.S. and U.K.
Starz and Sony Pictures TV announced that Duncan Lacroix (Game of Thrones) has been cast in Outlander as Murtagh Fitzgibbons Fraser. The Ronald Moore (Battlestar Galactica) series is coming together quickly now; a director and other cast members were announced earlier this month (see "Cast, Director for 'Outlander'").
