Grant Gustin (90210, Glee) has been cast as Barry Allen / Flash for both the introduction in Arrow and the spin-off into a new series, according to Deadline.
The Flash will be introduced with an origin story in episodes 8, 9, and 20 of Season 2 of Arrow, with a new series, also on the CW, to follow (see "'Flash' Spin-Off Won't Change 'Arrow'").
The Flash episodes of Arrow will be written by series co-creators Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg; and David Nutter, who directed the Arrow pilot, will direct Season 2, Episode 20.
