The Walking Dead topped the charts in October with 310,584 copies sold, behind 11 different covers.  That’s the number sold in to comic stores by Diamond Comic Distributors U.S.; Image previously revealed that it had shipped a total of 352,000 copies (see "'The Walking Dead' #115 Shipped 352,000 Copies"), which means that about 12%, or roughly 41,000 copies, were sold by Diamond UK. 

The Walking Dead placed two other issues in the Top 50, both at around 40,000 copies:  the Tyreese Special, and the 10th Anniversary edition of The Walking Dead #1.  And there were 22 The Walking Dead volumes in the Top 300 Graphic Novels list.
Core titles in the latest Marvel and DC events, Infinity and Forever Evil, took the #3 to #5 slots.  Sandman: Overture #1, which had two covers, came in at #8 with over 93,000 cold, a strong number for a $4.99 book.

Two Image Comics launches placed strongly: Pretty Deadly #1, by Kelly Sue DeConnick and Emma Ríos (see "Image Comics Announces New Projects"), placed at #36, with around 46,000 sold.  And Velvet #1, by Ed Brubaker and Steve Epting (see "Image Announces Major Projects at Expo") was #41, with around 42,000 sold. 

There was one other non-Marvel/DC title of note in the top ranks: The Star Wars: Lucas Draft  series hung strong, selling around 57,000 of #2.

The top graphic novel in October, Batman Vol. 3: Death of the Family HC, sold over 12,000 copies into comic stores, a robust performance.  The #2 graphic novel was an original, Warren Ellis’ Avengers Endless Wartime HC. 

Dark Horse’s latest Avatar volume and Hellboy: Midnight Circus HC were originals at #5 and #6, both at around 7,500 copies sold in. 

Paul Pope’s OGN Battling Boy Vol. 1 TP, at #14, did well for a First Second title in the direct market, with around 4,000 copies sold in the first month.  The hardcover edition came in at #81 and sold 1,286 copies.
