DC Comics will release variant covers inspired by its DC Collectibles Bombshells statue line for a number of its titles in June, according to USA Today.
The Bombshells line, designed by artist Ant Lucia, is inspired by pinups and fashion of the 1940s and 1950s. Lucia will also be designing the covers, some of which will be based on existing statues, and some of which will be new designs.
DC has been doing various monthly themed variants for a while. February saw a steampunk theme, March includes Robot Chicken alternates, and May will feature a gallery of variants done by artist Mike Allred to compliment the release of the Batman ’66 Meets the Green Hornet miniseries (see "'Batman '66 Meets the Green Hornet'").
